About Me

The Okanagan has always held a special place in my heart. My wife Madison and I made the move to Vernon seven years ago and we both agree it’s one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. We adopted Cashew & Koda, our cat and dog right here in Vernon.

A lot of core memories were made here at a young age. I was lucky enough to spend time visiting with friends and family up at Silver Star in the winter and going to camp in Oyama in the summer. Now, I’m happy to call this place home. 

As a lover of the outdoors, you can find me on one of the many trails here in the Vernon area throughout the spring and summer, and in the winter you’ll still find me out and about thanks to our high energy dog! She has an affinity for the BX Ranch Dog Park so you’ll probably find us there.

We love all of the things that the Okanagan has to offer and think you will too! It amazes me to see how much our community has grown over the years. If you need any recommendations on where to go or what to see, shoot me a message and I’ll give you a list of our favourite spots.

Don Miller

In 2000 I fulfilled a long time dream and moved to the Okanagan. Vernon was the perfect choice for our family as it has so much to offer and is a wonderful place to raise a family from Kindergarten to University. It is also an amazing place to retire or invest in. We love Vernon, the North Okanagan, the lifestyle and the people who live here. We enjoy the hiking trails, canoeing, sailing, beaches, Silver Star Mountain and the many unique businesses and historical places in the area. I am passionate about my community and love helping people.

My wife, Anne and I have three children, one grandson and a Border Collie/Newfoundland dog. We live on an acreage right in Vernon and have a small market garden that Anne runs with my help. Anne also works as my client care specialist.

My main interests have always been my family, friends and community. Other interests include growing orchids. I am the President of the North Okanagan Orchid Society. I am also a member of Silver Star Rotary and enjoy the fundraising and the community focus of this great group of people. I am a long time member of North Okanagan Referral Association is a group of business owners and trades people who meet weekly to help each other improve and grow their businesses. I am a member of The Buffini Real Estate Referral Network as well as being part of the Century 21 Realtor Network. I am also a voracious reader and learner and attend seminars to learn more about how to offer better service to my clients.

Some charities I support

• Silver Star Rotary and the projects they support.
  Rotary is all about building community and through fundraising we support high school scholarships, hospice, Teen Junction and more.

• The Food Bank
  Our clients and friends generously donate a large amount of food for the food bank when we hold our Ice Cream Social and Thanksgiving Party. Through our garden we are able to provide a couple trailer loads of fresh vegetables annually.

• Easter Seals – Send a Kid to Camp
  I donate a portion from each real estate transaction plus we sponsor a Christmas Dance with the Okanagan Valley Big Band where ALL proceeds help send a kid to camp.

• The Upper Room Mission
  The Upper Room Mission raises funds through a thrift store and feeds a lot of people daily. They also provide help and support to anyone who needs it. They too benefit from our garden.
